Summer 2016
LEGO WeDo for Grades 2 - 4
Students at this workshop will have fun learning to build and program LEGO WeDo robotic devices, exploring engineering concepts and creating the code to have them do desired behaviors. Grades 2-4, 9:00-10:30, M-Th, June 27 - 30 (12) student maximum $90 REGISTER LEGO WeDo Challenge for Grades 2 - 5 This workshop will present building and coding challenges for students who have previously taken a WeDo class and would like to continue at a higher level. Previous class required. REGISTER Grades 2-5, 9:00 - 10:30, M-Th, July 25 - 28 (12) student maximum $90 Exploring Robotics with the LEGO EV3 This is a fun, introductory class using the powerful Mindstorms LEGO EV3 robotics system. Students will explore electrical and engineering concepts, build various robots with different sensors, and use the computer to program their robots to respond to sensors and perform desired tasks. Grades 4-6, 9:00 – 12:00, M – Th, July 11-14 (15) student maximum $180 REGISTER Robotics Challenges with the LEGO EV3 for Grades 6-12 This class will present building and coding challenges for students who have previously taken an EV3 class and would like to continue at a higher level. Grades 6-12, 9:00 – 12:00, M – Th, July 18-21 (12) student maximum $180 REGISTER Coding for the Arduino In this class, we will learn the basic concepts of writing code for the Arduino, an inexpensive, hobby microcontroller. We will have fun experimenting with wiring a breadboard and controlling LED's (Light Emitting Diodes). Grades 6-12, 9:00-12:00, Th and Fri, July 7 and 8 (12) student maximum $90 REGISTER Please contact us if you would like financial assistance.
