LEGO WeDo Robotics for the Grade 2 - 4 Classroom
Explore this new approach that presents challenges for students to build and makes it easy for you to teach beginning coding with the icon-based, intuitive programming environment.
The new WeDo LEGO robotics program brings together the NGSS standards for engineering, great Common Core activities in literacy and beginning coding to offer an exciting opportunity for lower grade classrooms. In this workshop, we will experience hands-on building of different engineering concepts like gears and levers and then learn how to program our creations with easy computer coding. As well as engineering, each project includes a story line with writing and problem solving activities. This relatively inexpensive program is great for individual classrooms or for a group of teachers or school to share between classrooms.
